Our faculty carries out educational and applied studies in the classrooms and laboratories on the Central Campus and in the agricultural research, application, and production areas affiliated to Erciyes University Agricultural Research and Application Center (ERUTAM).
In addition, we have laboratories at the Genome and Stem Cell Center (GENKÖK) of our University, where advanced basic research on plant and animal biotechnology can be carried out by our Faculty.
As the Faculty of Agriculture, our goal is to train agricultural engineers who adopt Atatürk's Principles, respect social and ethical values, can compete in the international arena, can produce original innovative and sustainable solutions to the problems they experience, have high abilities to apply the knowledge they have acquired, are open to development, can work in multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary teams and can undertake key roles. In line with these goals, the Faculty of Agriculture, which has aimed to be present in international arena and to play active roles since 2008 when we started education, started the Master's Degree and PhD Degree education in English at the Department of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies in 2016 and increased the number of foreign students to 93 in a short time.
Some of the primary research strategies and objectives of our faculty are to increase the quality of agriculture in the region, in our country and in the world, to train qualified students and to meet the needs of its stakeholders with fast, high quality and effective solutions by taking account of the universal standards in information and technology production and cultural and social activities. In this context, according to the article, "Market information and monitoring system will be established to monitor the fluctuations in agricultural input and product prices, to protect competition and to eliminate market failures", stated in the 11th Development Plan, the studies of the faculty members are ongoing in order to make the products developed by the faculty members widespread in both national and international markets.
The faculty members of our faculty continue their research in order to guide and produce solutions to many issues in the field of agriculture by establishing a company within Erciyes Technology Transfer Office (ETTO) at our University. Thus, they carry out important studies and will continue to do so for the purpose of strengthening university-industry cooperation not only within the institution but also by contacting the private sector.
